Had lunch in the cafe, lovely food home made, cakes and scones lovely staff
A small museum but interesting nevertheless. I particularly liked the collection of horse drawn vehicles and the traveller's wagons. The tithe barn is one of the best that I've seen, and the cafe serves excellent food and drinks.
This place is a strange mix of indoor museum type attractions and outdoor farm things. The children thought it was great and I thought it was quite tiring. I should have taken the buggy as I ended up carrying the three year old, as it's all spread over a very large farm type site. Outdoor play area was a bit average but was compensated by indoor activity area which I couldn't drag the children away from.
Been here many times with children of various ages, and all have thoroughly enjoyed it. Take your time as there is lots to do if you have a vivid imagination. We spent all afternoon in the schoolroom alone. Taking it in turns to be a teacher. Try tipping a pig by rubbing its belly. As I say lots of fun.
A wonderful large open space with many fields and out houses with props and machinery set about to show what farming and country life is like. Great for a picnic and better when there's something on like open air cinema or historical based events. The main entrance is through and as which is a bit strange but is also great for stopping off for a bit of shopping. Great for kids to run free and explore
