Superb museum with a wide range of working steam locomotives, gives the visitors a trip back in time to a bygone era.

Went to the Middy bank holiday Sunday. The skies opened in the afternoon - what a downpour. No dampened spirits here - train rides still on track! Music and beer in the railway carriage bar! Best of British spirit. What a lovely time we had. Imagine how brilliant it would be on a sunny day. Thank you to all the Middy people for making the absolute best of some crazy British weather! Ride on four-wheel coaches from the 1800's at this splendid little museum. Staff are friendly and well-attired and the whole place gives a flavour of a bygone age. Although the ride is only short, it is adequate to get the 'feel' and perfect for younger ones. A nice day out.
We had a great time visiting this little railway and museum. 1/4 mile train journeys between two stations. Great place to bring a picnic, enjoy the friendly tea room, or visit the converted train car pub! Recommend bringing cash. All ages friendly.
