Staff were fantastic and accommodated 8 of us at last minute. The menu is also good as they have a vegan menu and a very reasonably price childrens menu. Service was quick and toilets were immaculate with baby changing available in the disabled toilet.

Good service good food value for money
Lovely food but the attitude from the waiting staff was appalling and really spoiled the evening. After asking an allergen question about one of the items on the menu, I was met with a response of 'well I don't know'. Which is fair enough, but I then had to prompt the waiter to ask a member of staff who may know about the allergens on the menu. (In fairness, I was then supplied with the allergen menu, which was very useful). The wait between courses was extraordinarily long for a restaurant which was by no means busy. The way the staff engaged with us gave the impression of complete disinterest and made us feel like we were an inconvenience. We weren't offered additional drinks until we had finished our main course. We were the last table in the restaurant (mainly down to the fact that it took 20 mins to get the bill...). At 10pm on the dot, all members of staff sat in the bar with their coats on, staring at our table - apparently waiting for us to leave (we left at 10.10pm!). Gutted as this is one of our favourite midway meeting points for our group of friends - will be looking for another Stowmarket restaurant next time.
