Had no problem finding the hotel ,had family room on first floor was nippy but fan heater did the trick nice and warm later when heating came on so no problem.. lovely clean room comfortable bed extra pillows provided brilliant.breakfast was well nice service was quick friendly helpful staff couldnt of asked for more .internet service great .will be returning
This was a good choice eve if the heating wasn't working quite right. The food was very good. Bed comfortable and the location is excellent for the main arterial routes around the East of England. Happy to use it next time I have an early meeting in that part of the world.
Loved my quirky beamed bedroom which was meticulously clean with a very comfortable bed.The bar, where you can choose to dine, is also quaint and cosy. My evening meal of fish and chips was great.The staff were a bit stretched with our large group in residence but remained polite and very helpful.
Lovely little venue for business conferences. Staff a very helpful and friendly. Also has a pub attached that serves comfort food. Breakfast....much better than premier inn.
Hotel room was spacious for 3 adults, but single bed was very creaky. There was also an extra room with bunk beds in leading to en-suite. Floor in both rooms sloped to a downward angle which we hadn't been warned about, could be a hazard to other occupants. Bathroom had a musty smell & shower never got very hot even when on highest setting. Liquid soap dispensers had not been refilled & net curtains were frayed and torn. Although room was not dirty we found items missed by house-keeping presumably from previous guests including a toe-nail. The staff, especially those serving breakfast were friendly and helpful but the hotel itself seems very jaded. I would say you get what you pay for but the previous night we stayed in a different B&B for the same price-same facilities and breakfast included-and the standard was so much higher. A bit more attention to detail regarding the upkeep of the rooms would be a great improvement. OK for an overnight stay but wouldn't be first choice.
